2nd lime flea market with non other than...
AUDREY NG AND JOANNA TAY!
here they are all excited and smiling for the camera.
we got the store set up by 12pm.
thats audrey's pile, and joanna's pile respectively...
... and here's mine.
notice how the pile of clothes gradually increased from audrey to mine. haha.
as expected, it was a slow start so we just sat there and bummed around. in the meantime joanna's handphone suddenly went dead on her and after many failed attempts to fix it, she decided to send it for repair at wisma.
she's obviously getting irritated with me.
there's her phone. its probably irritated as well.
the crowd gradually increased with each passing hour, and we were pretty busy after 3pm.
joanna's friends sarah and selina popped by and bought snacks and slurpees for us. they also stayed awhile to help us fold and tidy the clothes. so nice of them!
later on, lester also came by and shortly after that around 4pm the sky started to darken ominously and we heard thunder in the distance. gradually pple started to "pack up" and move their stuff to the covered shelter nearby. we decided to do the same, and lester helped us pack and carry the heavy bags over.
here we are rushing to move the stuff before the rain came.
the shelter was packed full of other sellers and people who were actually still looking around and buying things!
it rained pretty heavily non stop for more than an hour so we just sat there and stoned and gossiped. despite the shelter, the wind still blew rain at us so we used audrey's umbrella to protect ourselves from getting more wet.

audrey looks so emo, while joanna seems rather contented to be sharing an umbrella with us.

to make matters worse, an inconsiderate bunch of pple started to smoke in the shelter right next to us.

while waiting for the rain to stop i took 2 videos. here they are. please turn on your speakers to hear the commentary in the first one. its pretty funny.

finally around 5.30pm the rain lightened to a drizzle and we moved back to the stall.
another funny video featuring audrey using one of her shirts to wipe our tables which got wet. a classic moment. listen out for lester's comment at the end. hahaha.
some sellers had given up waiting and went home, so some of the stalls were empty. however, there were others who decided not to move at all and remained under the shelter. a majority did not move back, hence the bulk of the customers were all at the shelter and fewer of them ventured out to the stalls where we were.
to make things worse, it started to rain again slightly. as a result, only a few customers came over to our stall and before we knew it, it was already 8pm and too dark to continue selling. so we packed up everything again. as i was packing my clothes into the luggage, the whole thing tipped over and some of my clothes fell out onto the wet, dirty floor and got stained. i ended up throwing away one top.
afterwards we proceeded to kobanyashi at cine for dinner. lester joined us. we were all so shagged by then. just sat there and stoned for abt an hour before going our separate ways.
i will not be participating in another flea market in the future.. its wayyyy too tiring and i dont have the time anymore.
made very little money in comparison to the first flea.. abt $50 only.. but then again i sold all my tops and bottoms at $1 or $2. oh well, at least managed to clear off some clothes.
